STOURBRIDGE FIT FOR NEW BUSINESS AS MP RUNS TO OPEN NEW GYM
Local ladies will be getting their running shoes on this weekend, when Reflexions Gym has its grand opening in the old Quarry Bank Library Building, where local MP, Lynda Waltho, will be on hand with the message that the area is fit for new business.
The new centre is local company, Stewardson Developments’ latest substantial development in Quarry Bank over the last two years. The company has invested close to £1m in the town to help breathe new life into the local economy.
Lynda said:“It’s great the old library building in Quarry Bank has been made ‘fit’ to serve local ladies as a gym.
“The Government’s ‘Capital for Enterprise’ plan is offering more support than ever for budding entrepreneurs, with £75 million of funding for new businesses. A great example of a strong new business in Stourbridge is Reflexions Ladies’ Gym”
“As economic recovery continues there are clear choices to be taken between doing nothing, for example by leaving the old Quarry Bank library to rack and ruin and taking action, like the staff at Reflexions Gym have, to create jobs and prosperity in the local economy”
“I fought to keep the library open with local people but am glad the building has been put to community use. I want to use the opportunity to call upon the council to review the situation and to invest more in the Library Link which is in the community centre as it is totally inadequate for needs of local people.
“I wish the team at Reflexions Gym all the best in their new enterprise.”
