NEW PARK IN PLAY AT HOMER HILL
Stourbridge MP, Lynda Waltho, will be visiting Homer Hill Park this Friday to officially open the park’s new refurbished Children’s playground.
Lynda said: “I am delighted to have been invited to officially open the new play ground at Homer Hill Park. Giving children safe, secure and just as important, fun places to play, is essential if we are to get them away from the TV and their computer games and out into the fresh air for more physical activities
The playground, which has been redeveloped thanks to a £38,000 grant from the Government’s Play Path Finder, is one of the thousands of local parks to receive a grant from a £2 million pot set a side by the Government specifically for the improvement of play facilities. “The Friends of Homer Hill Park” who worked hard to secure the funding for the play facilities have asked Lynda to join local children in officially opening the new playground.
The Stourbridge MP continued: “The Government’s Play Pathfinder Scheme has proven to be a highly successful and innovative scheme that has helped give children stimulating and exciting play facilities. I am sure the children will love their new playground and I am looking forward to seeing it at first hand!”
