FIRST TIME BUYER BACKING COMES FROM MANSION TAXING

Alistair Darling today announced a 5% increase stamp-duty on homes valued over £1 million; the money gained from this measure will be used to double the stamp duty threshold for first-time buyers from £125,000 to £250,000.
